An organization’s alumni are the reflection of its past, representation of its present and a link to its future. The purpose of an association is to foster a spirit of loyalty and to promote the general welfare of our organization.
Orma ’85
Change is inevitable but being the reason behind a positive change is determined by the unique thoughts from unique minds for a unique cause, the first of its kind, Orma ’85 is the collective of the SSLC batch 1985 of Madhava Vilasom School, Thundathil. The cahoots was formally inaugurated on 2015 December 12th by the former Headmaster Sri. S. Sukumaran Nair(Hindi Pandit). The occasion was attended by around 51 teaching and non teaching staff as well as above 100 students of 85 batch. The keynote address was delivered by Dr. D. Benjamin, the former head of the Malayalam department at Kerala University. Veteran  writer and poet Sri. Karyavattom Sreekandan Nair delivered the felicitation after the formal session concluded. After his artistic rendering of words the function witnessed the most prestigious side. The teachers were adorned with the traditional ‘ponnada' and were presented with mementos. Celebration  took a new pitch, teachers and students rocked the stage with their stunning performances. The musical concert by Shri. Manvilla Radhakrishnan and Shri. Sreekaryam Narayanan Potti took everyone to the heavenly World of rhythm and beauty. On the whole, ORMA '85 was really a new feel of memory with shades of love and happiness.
Activities
  • We kept true to our promise of delivering 10 fans to the school building.
  • We also arranged a fresher’s event for the newcomers to our school on June 2016.
  • All the class 10 and class 12 students who achieved an A+ in all the subjects of their respective streams were presented with a memento. Moreover 100 selected students were given financial aid for pursuing their academic interests. The wards of the members of the ’85 batch who performed extraordinarily in their respective schools/colleges were rewarded. 
  • The Onam celebrations for the year 2016 were conducted on September 16. The chief guest of the event was Dr. K MohanKumar, Manager of the School.
  • The selected members of Orma '85 were also given Rs. 10000 each for healthcare benefits. 
  • The daughter of member Ushakumari, Ms. Vaishnavi scored A+ in all the subjects in class 12 during the academic year 2016-'17. Orma ’85 decided to award Rs. 1 lakh for her MBBS entrance coaching. The award was presented in the form of a cheque by respected minister Sri. Kadakampally Surendran in the presence of the Orma members. Orma ’85 also decided to build a house for Vaishnavi who grew up in non enviable conditions.
  • Orma ’85 was awarded the BEST HUMANITARIAN AWARD by 'Sparsham Charitable Trust' for the year 2017. A cash prize of Rs. 10,000 accompanied this prestigious recognition.
The love, respect and encouragement shown by the school Manager Dr. K.Mohankumar towards Orma ’85 since its inception is something we will always remember and cherish. The school auditorium is dedicated for the reunion of Orma '85, which shows his love and care for us.

A Whatsapp Alumini Group
The alumni of SSLC in 2002 joined their hands together to form a whatsapp group named MVHSS SSLC BATCH 2002.There are 52 members in the group and each and every members is an admin of the same group.
The group organised a Reunion on 12th March 2019 at school auditorium. The group member Mr.Reji extended welcome speech and the HM chaired the function. Felicitations were done by Suresh sir, Latha teacher(presently working in industrial department) and Vinod sir. Momentos were given to the HM and class teachers. They also honored one of their classmates, Mr.Shamnad for serving our nation. Shobi extended the vote of thanks and the function came to an end with various entertainment programmes. At the time of Reunion they heard about a student named Adithyan who had no parents and was under the care of grandparents who earned their live le hood by rag picking. Through their synergy, they helped him in every ways. They also acted as helping hands to two of their classmates who suffered economically.
The group members conduct a Quiz competition every night at 9.30pm and the prizes are distributed to the winners on the basis of their day to day scores.
On 11th July 2019 as a part of encouraging the students, the synergy has given momentos to the students who scored full A+ in SSLC in all subjects during the academic year 2018-19. The students Maria shaibi,Nandana.S, Priyanka.J,Syamili.M and Arya krishnan received the momentos. The group celebrated their Onam with the inmates in Assissi Nikethan, an old age home near Sreekariyam. They also provided with 'Onam sadya', and 'onam kits' to the inmates . Rtd.HM Sugandhy teacher graced the function was a grand one.
Besides this whatsapp group there also exists a FB group.The teachers, friends and other well wishes have joined the group make it a successful venture.
Now a days, there are people around us who don't value relationship, they should know "the friendship enables the joys and cut the grieves in halves". The students who left our school before 16 years have taken the initiative. They have set an example that should be followed. Philanthropy is something that make this group stand out well.
